The 16th CEQURA Conference on Advances in Financial and Insurance Risk Management, organized by the Society for Financial and Insurance Econometrics, provides a platform for presenting and discussing current developments in research & industry and fosters the exchange between academics and practitioners in the risk management community.

The conference will take place in Munich, Germany, on September 29-30, 2026.

Both academics and practitioners are encouraged to participate. To present theoretical or applied research work, please submit an abstract (200–400 words) using this submission form by March 15, 2026.

Submissions in all areas of financial and insurance risk management are welcome. General topics of interest include but are not limited to:

• Digitalization in Finance and Insurance
• Data Science in Finance and Insurance
• Market, credit, operational, liquidity and energy risk
• Stress testing and scenario analysis
• Systemic risk in banking and insurance
• Solvency II and Basel III
• Dependence modeling
• Risk dynamics
• Real- and financial-sector interactions

The conference will take place at the Schloss Fürstenried, which is located in the south of Munich.

Please note: The conference takes place during the Munich Oktoberfest, which is a major tourist attraction making it difficult to find hotel rooms. A number of rooms have been set aside for participants at the Hotel Olympia, an early reservation is recommended.

The 15th CEQURA Conference on Advances in Financial and Insurance Risk Management will be organized by the Society for Financial and Insurance Econometrics in cooperation with the Japanese Association of Financial Econometrics and Engineering (JAFEE) and the Institute of Mathematics (ISM) at the Seijo University, in Tokyo, Japan.

The joint conference will take place on September 20-21, 2025 under the name JAFEE-SOFINE-ISM International Symposium on Advances in Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Science. The objective of the conference is to bring together leading academics, practitioners, and policymakers to present state-of-the-art research in the broad areas of Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Science.

The 14th CEQURA Conference on Advances in Financial and Insurance Risk Management, organized by the Society for Financial and Insurance Econometrics, provides a platform for presenting and discussing current developments in research & industry and fosters the exchange between academics and practitioners in the risk management community. The 12th CEQURA Junior Research Workshop will be part of the conference. Researchers at the (post-)doctoral or advanced master level are invited to present their work online or pre-recorded. The Society for Financial and Insurance Econometrics will confer the FiVeG-Award 2023 for the best presentation at the CEQURA Junior Research Workshop 2023.
